Unemployed and disabled persons’ rights

The South African Bill of Rights provides for equality to all of the people of South Africa, without any form of discrimination. This constitutional provision clearly covers every human being including those who are unemployed and disabled. As such, these categories of disadvantaged people should enjoy all the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the international human rights standards. In reality these people experience serious discrimination from society due to their status. Public awareness needs to be raised about this issue as well as carrying out research on the topic and the legislation currently governing this group of people. Interns are given the opportunity to get involved in whichever context they feel better suited to. Click here to read more about the projects we are currently involved in.
